Apropos of nothing (or maybe the repair bill I just got slammed with), I had a sudden urge to memorialize all the old cars I’ve ever owned:
1. 1963 VW Beetle, aqua. “The Little Darling.”
2. 1966 VW Beetle, white. I did the body work and painted it. Stolen next day.
3. 1966 Chevy van, tomato red.
4. 1964 VW Bus. Beige.
5. 1969 Toyota Corona, off-white.
6. 1968 Toyota Corolla, white.
7. 1963 Pontiac Bonneville. Black with red leather interior. “The Batmobile.”
8. 1972 Chevy Vega wagon. Mauve metallic. Hey, it ran.
9. 1969 Toyota wagon. Kind of harvest gold-ish.
10. 1971 AMC Eagle. Dark green.
11. 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger. White with black leather top.
12. 1978 Buick Regal. Pale blue metallic. Bad shocks, disposable trans.
13. 1978 Dodge Omni. Gold. Great little car. A gift from a friend of a friend.
14. 1978 Toyota Tercel. Silver. Decent car.
15. 1985 Toyota Tercel 4WD wagon. White. My pride and joy. Bleeds me dry.
