I was explaining to one of my friends just why this Valerie Plame CIA story is so important. (She was only seven when Nixon resigned, one step ahead of impeachment.) I spelled it out, but she really has nothing in her historical reference to prepare her for the enormous implications.
Just remember: No one really thought a minor burglary at the Watergate would lead back to the Nixon White House. But it did.
And oddly enough, do you know who’s the common denominator? Karl Rove, who was a member of Donald Segretti’s dirty tricks squad. Segretti was one of the men who put the creep in CREEP (Committee to Reelect the President).
