Memory Lane

I was surfing the web and came across this. Boy, did it bring back memories of the Eighties. I got out to see a lot more music than seems possible, considering I had two little kids at the time.
I knew so many of the guys in these bands: Beru Revue, Kenn Kweder and the Secret Kidds, the Hooters, the Daves, Tommy Conwell, the Ben Vaughn Combo. (Hell, I started out playing the same bill in coffeehouses with Kweder when I was 15.) A lot of these bands used to play at the ill-fated City Lights, the upstairs bar across the street from the Ritz Theater. And of course, there was always J.C. Dobbs - or the Hot Club.
That was when I could still stay in a smoky bar all night without passing out.
