I’m sure we can fix this with some more tax cuts:
WASHINGTON Residents at a historic retirement home for war veterans are accusing the Pentagon of violating the law by making harmful cutbacks in medical services.
The Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington was established in 1851. A draft complaint says its nearly one-thousand residents are being harmed by efforts to balance its budget. The suit is to be filed in federal court.
Spokesman Homer Rutherford says residents aren’t whining, but just “want to live.” He says cutbacks include the closing of the home’s main clinic — and elimination of X-ray and electrocardiogram services.
Where’s that mantra of personal responsibility now? I happen to think the very least we can do for our vets is to take care of their medical needs. Why are we cutting taxes and adventuring in the Middle East when we can’t meet our responsibilities at home?

What are they whining about. The Lord provides all! LOL!
Everyone else pays retail.
“Why are we cutting taxes and adventuring in the Middle East when we can’t meet our responsibilities at home?”
Hmm. Isn’t that a variation of the question that got all the reports removed (for their own safety, I’m sure…) from the room during the President’s European tour?
Careful…

Let the veterans rot! Why didn’t they get rich when they had the chance?
If I ever need to whip out my DD-214 to get some benefits, they’ll probably come in the form of a cardboard box.
The commenters above have such wit. I can’t think of a thing to say about it. “I got nothing.” When you(govt) can’t take care of your military medical needs, you shouldn’t be sending them off to incur and inflict harm
