My dad made it through surgery and when I left the hospital tonight, he was doing remarkably well. Despite an exhausting seven-hour procedure, he was even making jokes when they finally wheeled him back into the ICU at 7:30. (Like father, like daughter.)
The surgeon thinks he got all of the tumor. It’ll be a few days before the pathology reports come back from the lymph node samples.
Thanks for all the support and prayers. I feel like I could sleep for a week, but I won’t. I’ll be back blogging tomorrow.
