If at first you don’t succeed:
An 86-year-old US woman arrested for incessantly calling emergency services to complain about a pizza parlour has spent two nights behind bars.Dorothy Densmore of Charlotte, North Carolina, called the emergency 911 service 20 times in 38 minutes.
Angry she could not get the meal delivered to her home, she demanded police arrest the pizza proprietors.
But when she refused to stop calling, police arrived with their own delivery, arresting her for abusing the hotline.

Does the jailhouse canteen serve pizza?
I used to get nutballs like this a lot when I worked for a legislator. One called because she had been kidnapped by aliens and wanted the Senator to do something about it. I told her that aliens were the jurisdiction of the Air Force and gave her the public information number for the base here in town.
I had another who wanted to sue Habitat for Humanity because they would not build her a new home in trade for her old condo. The same woman also swore that her neighbors were trying to kill her by sneaking into her crawl space and damaging her furnace. After a year of listening to her rant, I began to think there may have been some truth to that.
Good one, Otto! Reminds me of:
Duck walks in to a bar, asks the bartender, “Do you have any bananas?”
Bartender: “Get out of here, duck! NO BANANAS! This is a bar, not a grocery store!”
Next day, same thing at the bar. Duck: “Do you have any bananas?”
Bartender: “Get out of here. NO BANANAS! If you come back, I’m going to nail your webbed little feet to the floor!”
Next day, at the bar. Duck: “Hi there. Do you have any nails?”
Bartender: “!!&&@#! NO NAILS! This is a bar, not a hardware store!”
Duck: “OK… Do you have any bananas?”
My brother used to work for a small town police department, and he said a lady called 911 regularly to ask the time.
Well, at least the poor old thing has had three hots and a cot for two days.
Hopefully, one of those hot meals was a pizza.
Wasn’t there a better way to handle this–even in George Bush’s Culture Of Life formerly known as America?
Well, I never thought I’d agree with the wingers about anything, but on this I guess they’re right: only 5 posts before it’s all W’s fault.
Get a grip people; sometimes a nutcase incident is just a nutcase incident. Can we get thru 3 minutes of the day without thinking about politix?
From what I read, she then bit the arresting officer… so, she’s not just getting 3 hots and a cot for abusing 911, she went down for resisting arrest and lord knows what else… poor old dear.
smartalek, that is about the number of posts it takes on some sites to blame something just as obtuse on Clinton.
