Blaming Boston

Duncan pointed us to this piece Little Ricky Santorum did for Catholic Online:
It is startling that those in the media and academia appear most disturbed by this aberrant behavior, since they have zealously promoted moral relativism by sanctioning “private” moral matters such as alternative lifestyles. Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture. When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm.
Then perhaps this little shit would like to explain how it happens in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, the South or the very conservative Orange County.
COVINGTON, Ky. — Marking the largest settlement yet in the Roman Catholic Church’s sexual abuse crisis, the Covington diocese said Friday that it had agreed to pay up to $120 million to alleged victims of child molestation.
The amount, which must be approved by the Boone County circuit court, would eclipse a $100 million settlement reached by the Orange County, Calif., diocese last year involving 90 victims, and an $85 million settlement reached two years ago with 552 victims by the Boston archdiocese, where the scandal erupted in 2002.
So I called his office at 202-224-6324 and gave my opinion: “I am so sick of this man running toward the center when he’s local and then running toward the right on the national because he wants to be president,” I said. “I want someone who represents the state of Pennsylvania, not the Christian Coalition.
“I mean, this guy is nuts. How can you work for somebody like that?”
The young woman said, “I just take the messages.”
“Well, you should be ashamed of yourself. Go get an honest job,” I said.
Sheesh.

If you follow the link you’ll see the on-line article in question is three years old.
Disgusting? Yes. But not recent. Still, not a surprise coming from him or from any other winger in congress.
Sanctum sanctorum.
