And it basically won’t be anything new. And I don’t think the thumb-in-the-eye tactics of the campaign, and as witnessed by the Rove remarks last week, will end up helping him.
I just wish we had a genuine opposition leader that could counteract whatever he says tonight. Then again, maybe the public has come to an understanding of the worthlessness of this war all on their own.
Or perhaps the public knows that the war is a dirty and unpleasant task that had to be done. No one has to like it but many of us understand that choosing the battle field is what smart generals do. I know it would be better for your warped sense of guilt/hatred for America if car bombs were going off in your home town but I guarantee you that the novelty would wear off very quickly. Fighting a war is always better done in the other guy’s back yard. Iraq just had a pre-existing hole in their fence that made their back yard especially attractive. Syria has a nice looking back yard for a war too. That’s why they pulled out of Lebanon without a blood bath.
What did Rove say that was incorrect anyway? If it hit home, perhaps you should take a long hard look at why.

Spooky, you appear to be too smart to be writing the kinds of comments that you post here.
What’s up with that?
