Puppet Regime

Yes, I’m sure that’s what’s uppermost in the minds of most Iraqis:
AMMAN, Jordan - Iraq wants to launch a privatization program that would end state monopolies over industry, an Iraqi official said Sunday on the eve of an international meeting to assess reconstruction activities.
Adel Karim, a deputy minister for industrial development, said Iraq wants to sell cement, brick and pharmaceutical factories as a first step. He declined to discuss details or say if the oil sector may also be considered, but he conceded that deteriorating security could hamper the plan.
This, of course, will only fuel the insurgency. And who can blame them? One of the first things we did was pass a law requiring farmers to stop using the seed they’d saved for centuries and instead buy genetically modified (and not incidentally, sterile) seed from Monsanto.
It’s a plantation, and we’re the overseers. Great.

The insanity, and I am being literal, surrounding decisions such as this are frightening beyond measure in their cavalier use of genetics as an economic weapon, not even mentioning the hazards confonting the environment’s ability to absorb what it has no ready capacity to absorb i.e the natural order, rythmn and flow of nature-do they really know what they are doing on a micro quantum level-I think not.
