Lyle’s Set List

Someone asked in comments what was on the Lyle Lovett set list my friend Cos got, so I’ll share with y’all (Lyle writes in block printing, Cos noted). It’s long, click to see the whole thing:

“She’s No Lady” is one of my favorites and if I ever get married again, that’s the song I want.

Gee, Susie, I thought everybody wrote out their set lists in block capitals– at least, I have always done so, and I can’t remember ever seeing any other band’s in any other style. The idea is to make sure you can still read it under the most adverse stage conditions, including it having fallen off your amp and lodged itself under the floor tom.
One thing I’ve always wanted to do is write a song where all the lyrics were other bands’ song titles off their set lists, often truncated or turned into elaborate inside jokes, found after their performances on the same stage I’m on.
