Matt from Tattered Coat has a nice, thoughtful piece on blogging. Through his post, I also found this public service pamphlet on Blog Depression. A must-read!

You are a Working Class Warrior, also known as a blue-collar Democrat. You believe that the little guy is getting screwed by conservative greed-mongers and corporate criminals, and you’re not going to take it anymore.

thx. I had to give up my first blog for privacy reasons. I had an ok readership (400+ daily) and it was really hard to do.
I then gave up my second to pursue a related business. It’s genuinely depressing not to have a regular outlet!
I am not depressed about my blog, per se. I’m only depressed because the Republicans keep winning, winning, winning.
Day after day we post these outrageous stories of the crimes and stupidity perpetrated by the Bush administration and its coterie of lying followers.
Every day the news seems to get worse, and every day the Republicans keep piling up the victories. Now Bush has Bolton at the U.N. and will soon have two more of his people on the Supreme Court.
Honestly, if I were NOT depressed, I think there would be something wrong with me.
