Ford Motor Co. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill Ford said Tuesday evening that the automaker is planning another round of cost cutting, which may include plant closures.
Now, blue-collar jobs could also be in the crosshairs.
Ford said a plan likely will be announced after the Frankfurt auto show in mid-September and “before fall gets too far away from us.”
In other news, today Moody’s cut Ford’s stock to “junk” status.
Ah, yes. The US auto industry is hauled to the junk yard while the Bush echo chamberlains make happy talk about the economy.
