Makes one wonder if the very *name* requires that the bearer be an asshole.

He says: “It is not about politics. The few politicians in the book are there, NOT because of how they voted on this issue or that, but because of something else they’ve done — something uncivil, for example. We may disagree with George Bush on policy, but I think he’s a decent man.”

I guess that mocking a woman condemned to death, repeatedly flipping the bird in public situations, calling a repoerter “a major league asshole”, refusing to acknowledge his alcoholism or drug abuse, or lying all the time are decent and not uncivil.

I never heard of this guy before — how did he get any traction in the world?
It’s clear that he’s a right wing propagandist trying to pass himself off as an ordinary, middle of the road guy.
