Desperate Situation

Jut one of the many disturbing scenes from the aftermath:
Late Tuesday, Gov. Blanco spokeswoman Denise Bottcher described a disturbing scene unfolding in uptown New Orleans, where looters were trying to break into Children’s Hospital.
Bottcher said the director of the hospital fears for the safety of the staff and the 100 kids inside the hospital. The director said the hospital is locked, but that the looters were trying to break in and had gathered outside the facility.
The director has sought help from the police, but, due to rising flood waters, police have not been able to respond.
Bottcher said Blanco has been told of the situation and has informed the National Guard. However, Bottcher said, the National Guard has also been unable to respond.

I do not know the lay out, but is this hospital on the last bit of dry land? If so why isn’t this hospital being evacuated. Think, the people in new orleans cannot be helped it they remain in a city with constant rising water.
what could you loot from a children’s hospital?
were they looters????
or ZOMBIES????
I have seen a report on cnn that cars are being car jacked. But, I have yet to see a car that was not submerged leaking gas.
Just saw on nola, “emergency generators at Charity and University hospitals in downtown New Orleans ran out of fuel and shut down at 8 a.m. today”
Drugs can be looted from a children’s hospital.
FALSE ALARM/Urban Legend
From Nola.com:
So that’s one less worry about the state of fellow human beings. Some of the worst rumors about prison riots are also apparently false.
