Waiting in Line

I haven’t seen real gas lines since the Iran hostage crisis, but I saw them at just about every gas station I passed today. Oddly enough, I found much cheaper gas in the city than the suburbs - $2.66 compared to $2.97 near home.
This is just the beginning. BushCo has spread the government safety net so goddamned thin, it’s mostly holes held together by a little bit of sting. He’s raided the treasury to give tax breaks to his buddies, he’s purged anyone with a conscience and anything he does now to “help” the storm victims will only rob other needed services.
I believe we’re at the beginning of an era of real scarcity, right here in the good old U.S. of A. And we’d all better get used to waiting in line.
