Criminal Negligence

Amazing! The FEMA head was a horrible political hack. Now, I know I said I’d eat my hat if Bush made even one nomination I could respect, but I was hoping the people in charge of, oh, I don’t know, disaster relief might be at least partially qualified.

There is the fundamental problem that any reasonable, sane and competent person would probably not want to work for this regime anyway. So while Bush can be criticized for hiring toady dunces, he probably can’t get much better talent.
What makes it worse is in his selection of say the scotus justices he’s probably trying to keep himself out of future incarceration, trying to avoid a Pinochet situation.
I agree with YY. The administration is known for discouraging its people to think “outside of the box.” Or to think at all, so it seems.
I want to know if Mike Brown is lying to us, or if his people are really not telling him about what is happening in New Orleans.
