Inherit the Wind

Big court case today in Pennsylvania, reminiscent of “Inherit the Wind“:
A federal judge in Pennsylvania will hear arguments Monday in a lawsuit that both sides say could set the fundamental ground rules for how American students are taught the origins of life for years to come.
At issue is an alternative to the standard theory of evolution called “intelligent design. Proponents argue that the structure of life on Earth is too complex to have evolved through natural selection, challenging a core principle of the biological theory launched by Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of Species in 1859. Instead, contend adherents of intelligent design, life is probably the result of intervention by an intelligent agent.
The Pennsylvania ACLU is leading the legal challenge, and they’ll be updating throughout the trial. Check here for the latest.

What’s that little ditti that was popular ten years ago or so? Oh yeah:
“Everybody knows,
That the world is full of stupid people;
So meet me at the mission we’ll divvy up there…”
As too “divvying” up, well”
“I got the pistol so I keep the pesos, Now that sounds right…”
There is no intelligence in Intelligen Design, Animals, bow down to gods; Human Beings, do not.
The sad aspect of evolution is as a species this is what we’ve evolved to and become.
When you make it the law as to what people are to believe. Haven’t we done this before? And they called it the Dark Ages.
But who created the ‘intelligent agent’ in the first place??
And yes, I do believe in God. It’s a belief that doesn’t need to proved by science.
If you really look insist that life is designed you get one hell of a paradox:
a) who could possibly have designed anything so incredibly complex
AND
b) who would have designed anything so poorly - full of redundancy, chronic weaknesses and inefficiencies.
