Bush seems to be drinking heavily, Cheney has a heart aneurysm (don’t let the knee talk fool you), Frist being investigated by the SEC, DeLay indicted and who knows how many others to fall once Abramoff spills the beans - that knocks out most of the Republican line of succession.

In all seriousness, I think that there might really be an intelligent design behind the universe, where the ID folks are too dumb to look for it! Google Max Tegmark and prepare to have thy mind blown.
Thing is, even if there were a mind of some sort underlying reality, it’s an illogical leap to suppose that the mind in question is Old Nobodaddy from the Israelite mythos. Spinoza’s god is the one Einstein believed in; a clockmaker, not a meddling scout master.
