Post-Birthday Swag Roundup

Well, kids, I had the Best Birthday Ever. (And since I have a recent history of really truly awful birthdays, this one was a relief.)
So Susie, what’d you get for your birthday?
First of all, a big shiny Toshiba wireless laptop (hallulujah!) from a very special friend. Wow. (I think this makes me a “real” blogger.) Beautiful earrings, some magnificent silver bracelets, a motorized head scratcher (you may have seen these spidery things in the mall kiosks? God, they’re awesome), and enough cash from various generous friends that I think, yes, a pair of new glasses is finally imminent.
Also: two books from my Amazon wish list, a very cool little purse and a mirrored compact. (I always saw myself as Ginger Rogers.) Oh, and more great yarn - with knitting needles. (My sister gave me an early present last month - a neat Beatles teeshirt.)
On the non-material side, lots of warm birthday wishes from you all - plus, the company of good friends at a small and wonderfully rowdy dinner celebration last night. (I had two Kamikazes. They had to practically pour me into the car.)
I’m beginning to think that even some of the people who really know me like me, anyway.

Tooth calmed down. (It seems to act up with the change of seasons.) The cyst in my ear went down, as they usually do. The TMJ attack also calmed down.
