Re-Elect Al Gore

This would be good news:
Forget that half-hearted declaration Al Gore gave at an economic forum in Stockholm, Sweden two weeks ago about having “absolutely no plans and no expectations of ever being a candidate again.” According to friends, family and political advocates, Gore’s playing it coy and has every intention of entering the race. “I’m not discouraged at all by what he said,” said one of the Gore backers who’s recently spoken with US News & World Report. “He doesn’t want to be embarrassed and he won’t just slowly tip-toe into the race. He wants the whole thing set up for him and that will be easy to do.”

You got a broken link there.
What was the original source?
If I were Gore looking at how badly George has messed things up, I’d think about it even if I had given up previously.
The big question, is when is he going to start his campaign, er, speaking tour. What he says in those will be the best judge of whether he truly plans on running.
Gore/Clark
Gore/Obama
Gore/Edwards
Heck, I don’t care–Gore/Tipper!
Re-elect Gore in 2008! ! !
If he does run, I hope we see the relaxed, funny, self-deprecating SNL Gore, and not the wooden goody-two-shoes dork who ran in 2000.
And if he does run, the Rethugs will run tons of ads showing him with his beard. That shouldn’t be an issue, but in this screwed-up society, it probably is. Who was the last president with facial hair — Teddy Roosevelt? Sheesh, even Robert “Sure, Dick, I’ll Fire The Special Prosecutor For You” Bork has facial hair.
