(Bloomberg) — The U.S. grand jury hearing evidence in the leak of a CIA agent’s identity won’t announce any indictments today, a Justice Department official said.
U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald met today with the grand jury at the federal courthouse in Washington. The grand jury was due to wind up its investigation, with its two-year term due to expire in two days. Fitzgerald was accompanied by members of his staff as he arrived promptly at 9 a.m. for the start of the grand jury session.
He didn’t acknowledge greetings from reporters gathered at the courthouse as he entered the grand jury room.
