We recommended you re-read the excellent profile of Karl Rove in the Atlantic Monthly last year where author Josh Green stressed that “The Architect” is the most dangerous when cornered.
Keeping a jaundiced eye on the corporate media.

aren’t we all at our most dangerous when we’re cornered?
Turd Blossom has been dangerous, vindictive and vicious in every situation so far since his Young Republican days.
Something that can’t last forever, won’t…
It’s also Rove’s pattern to wait for the bad situation and then furiously spin it through negative attacks and misinformation and smearing.
Usually a reactive response.
His likeliest move right now is to wait and see what indictments really issue, and whether Fitzgerals expands his investigation into the Niger forgeries, the White House Iraq Group’s stovepiping of fraudulent intelligence, and the violation of the Wilsons’ civil rights.
And then, the more of that mess that comes under Fitzgerald’s scrutiny, the more likely Rove will turn to war to ride right over the situation. Syria, maybe Iran. Air campaigns only. Martial law. Pardons. Time to look forward, not back. Harumph! Get over it.
He’s not going to change, or reform. Did John Gotti go back to Sunday School when he was arrested?
Fuhgeddaboudid!
Will Bush dare not to fire Rove if he’s indicted?
Of course, if he does, Karl will probably still be running things, for Dubya, albeit part time while he prepares his counterattack. Maybe he can have Jack Abramoff arrange to have Fitz taken out.
