You are a Working Class Warrior, also known as a blue-collar Democrat. You believe that the little guy is getting screwed by conservative greed-mongers and corporate criminals, and you’re not going to take it anymore.

As I remember, he rewired his guitar to get a different sound. A lot of music people are techie types.
As I also remember, he wasn’t a Shawnee exactly, but a member of one of the mixed-race peoples scattered through the South, who had a status between black and white. The Lumbee are the best known.
Because of Andrew Jackson, I think, the Carolinas and Georgia have the lowest proportion of native American population of any state.
Damn!
Tho he did have a good run. His version of “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” is my favorite loud Dylan cover.
Link Wray was the man. It was only this past July that i got the chance to stand on stage while link wray played. i shook his hand and he gave me a hug. his wife was there behind him fixing his ponytail and then later joined him on stage playing tambourine. that was an amazing experience. Link Wray Is A God, he now gets to join them!
Saw Link during what turned out to be his final tour at the Owl’s Nest in Emmaus, PA. A friend warned me against going, saying it could turn out to be a lousy “heavy metal Link” night. Boy, was he ever wrong - it was damn near godhead. So what if Link played some songs twice (like the Batman theme) - both he and the audience were having so much fun. Talked a lot from the stage, and was so appreciative. He even signed autographs for all after the gig. Link will be missed.
Got turned on to Link Wray while stationed in Germany in the early seventies. Wished I went to see him play when I had the chance. Matter of fact, I think I have some of his old 8-track tapes somewhere. Maybe I’ll hook up the old player.
