So we were at DL, talking about the lobbyist in the Duke Cunningham scandal, how he had a hospitality suite at the Watergate with “multiple” bedrooms. And it occurred to me how we might take advantage of the Congressional proclivity for hookers to push for government reform.
“HOOKERPac,” I said. “We hire a bunch of male and female prostitutes to persuade elected officials in the general direction of good government.”
Duncan said this was something he could get behind, and he’d be happy to serve as chair. But we decided he needed some kind of colorful mob name.
“Duncan ‘Bag O’Donuts’ Black,” I said. “And you’re going to have to learn to talk more like a mob guy if you’re going to run hookers.”

If he’s to be a “made guy”, he really needs a real Italian name. Susie, you’re usually pretty spot on, but “Bag O’Donuts” seems to be a little, shall we say, lacking.
“Duncan” is derived from Gaelic meaning “Brown Warrior”. Black is, uhn, well, black. A rough translation with contractions: Guermaro Nero. “guerriero” = warrior
“marrone” = brown.
Hey, there IS an actual mob guy named Joey Bag O’Donuts! So there.
Why not just Duncan “Donuts” Black?
Alternatively, what’s the Italian word for donuts?
“Craffen” or “Ciambellina”
Duncan “Craffen” Black?
Keep it short & simple. Duncan “Five Fingers” Black. Or “Two Fingers” if he types like me.
[...] You know what this means, of course: time for HookerPAC. It’s time that ordinary citizens with the good of us all in mind make use of the same effective persuasion methods as the other side. [...]
