Oh look, the Democratic “leadership” is getting the vapors:
Strong antiwar comments in recent days by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean have opened anew a party rift over Iraq, with some lawmakers warning that the leaders’ rhetorical blasts could harm efforts to win control of Congress next year.
Several Democrats joined President Bush yesterday in rebuking Dean’s declaration to a San Antonio radio station Monday that “the idea that we’re going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong.”
I mean, do these people ever talk to anyone - other than each other, I mean? Look at the poll numbers on this war. Most people don’t like it, don’t support it and don’t believe we’re going to win. And how could we? How do you “win” against an insurgency?
I didn’t think it was possible for the Democrats to lose next year’s Congressional mid-term election, but I’m having a lot of second thoughts.

any party that claims joe leiberman,
joe biden and hillary clinton as leaders can certainly betray it’s ideals and alienate it’s base-without
fail. something in the water, perhaps.
Now we’re drinking the Koolaid?
Will Rogers used to say “I don’t belong to any organized political party — I’m a Democrat.”
“Several Democrats”?? Then they name one Democratic Rep. from Georgia who actually spoke against Dean’s comment.
Talk about the media still beating up on Dean. Can you say “media conglomorate breakup”? They are still scared of Dean.
