Rolling Stone interviews George Clooney:
Everybody says, “Look at how bad these guys [the Bush administration] are.” Well, that’s easy, they’re beating themselves into the ground. But we can’t just be the party of “I disagree.” We have to be the party of “here’s the way out.” These Democratic senators voted for the war and say they were misled. They weren’t misled, they were afraid of being called unpatriotic. Who’s the guy or girl who’s going to step up and say, “We’re going to run out of oil sooner or later, so let’s take the bull by the horns and say ten years from now, no cars built that run on internal combustion”? It’s going to happen at some point, so why don’t we take the lead? Then we don’t have to bomb people in Middle Eastern countries — we just don’t need their product.

I think George Clooney is the one person in America who could actually beat the media, if he had enough face time with the public. Howard Dean and Gore were right, but they lacked that air of certainty that Americans mistake for competence.
Somebody needs to step up to the plate and tell the people what’s really going on. Michael Rupert can’t do it on his own.
What ticks me off more than sniping about gay marriage, Christmas and abortion is sniping about gay marriage, Christmas and abortion while we run out of options.
I’m still steamed about torture, indefinite detentions, war profiteering, war mongering and lack of privacy, but the grandkids deserve a fair shot at survival and nobody has the right to take that away from them.
I love George Clooney. I think he should speak out more because he could really get a lot of attention to his causes.
God, just when I thought George Clooney couldn’t possibly get more attractive, here comes this interview.
Hell, I’d vote for him over people like Kerry, Hillary, Biden, Lieberman, or ???
I kinda went off actors in high places after Ronzo. And the Gropinator hasn’t helped matters. But, well, maybe, . . . Clooney wouldn’t want to run for Prez, would he?
