I forget who it was, but one of you asked for a breakdown of the Abramoff-related Indian tribe contributions. Here it is.
Let me see if this analogy works: Saying this is a bipartisan scandal is like telling a girl who got gang-raped at a frat party that the guys who did it shouldn’t really go to jail - because after all, she did previously have sex with her boyfriend.
The tribes got hosed by Abramoff, but since they were already giving money to Democrats, that makes this a “bipartisan scandal.”

Oh, it’s worse than that. The tribes actually gave the Democrats LESS (and the Republicans MORE) after Abramoff’s interference, so a good case can (and probably should) be made that Abramoff ripped off Democrats as well as Indians.
Thanks for this it makes the case that really this is a one sided scandal.
