I was hoping someone else brought this up, but no one has. So let me spell it out for you.
One of the new Abu Ghraib pictures is a prisoner who is - how do I put this? dripping a milky, viscuous substance from his mouth. And since the accompanying story says some of the as-yet unpublished pictures show men being forced to masturbate, my not-illogical conclusion is this man was either forced to swallow his own ejaculate - or someone else’s. That’s some weird, twisted psychosexual shit.
And I’ve been thinking about that. What kind of political party do we have running this country which puts so much effort into punishing men who swallow semen voluntarily - but have no problem whatsoever with forcing men to do it via threats and brutality?
Hear that? It’s the sound of the “Godly” men who will have no comment.

Psycho-sexual is right. A person who isn’t actively hateful doesn’t care one way or another about someone else’s sexuality. The only people who care are those who are threatened by behavior they are drawn to but ashamed of. These guys have to be repressing latent homosexual urges or they wouldn’t go to these lengths.
And, MIke, I’m right there with you. It’s a nightmare that never ends. I can’t believe we’ve come to this.
It doesn’t really look like semen to me; too opaque. I have to go with vomit…I doubt prisoners were being fed lots of red meat or leafy greens, so that would explain the color.
Jesus. We have fallen so unbelievably far in so short a time. I’m an American living in Europe, and I swear to God, I cringe everytime somebody asks me where I’m from (My accent can easily pass for Canadian). Nobody’s said anything particularly horrible to me, I’m just so goddamned ashamed that I don’t want to tell them.
