Seems clear to me they’re going to push Cheney out and slap good old John McCain in there:
Sen. John McCain visits Miami today, which is one of six cities that the would see its ports taken over by DP World, a company owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates if the Bush Administration plan goes into effect. Since McCain is the only Senator this side of the Dole family willing to support the President’s plan, he will undoubtedly be questioned.
Here’s what McCain said about the deal:
“The President’s leadership has earned our trust in the war on terror, and surely his administration deserves the presumption that they would not sell our security short.â€
Kind words, and a stunning change of heart from somebody who thoroughly condemned the Administration’s handling of the war on terror.Asked in a December 2004 Associated Press interview whether he had confidence in the Administration’s leadership in the War, McCain was clear:
“I said no. My answer is still no. No confidence.”
Lots more for those of you who still think this guy isn’t a typical self-serving politician.
John McCain is a whore…Now, I took umbrage when the minions of shrub did a (pre) Swift Boat job on McCain in 2000 over in S. Carolina. He got screwed. Now a guy who is sentient might not entirely burn bridges, but he probably would not lean over to pick up the soap in front of his tormentor. McCain has done exactly that, and if I were as clever as His Rudness, I would tell it like it really is. I’m not. So suffice to say that McCain is a whore.

I said this right after the election - that in year 2 that Cheney would step aside (ostensibly for his health) and Bush would annoint McCain. They’ll do anything to keep in power and there are enough idiots out there (Dems and other progressives among them) who, for whatever reason, fail to recognize McCain for what he is - as James says a self-promoting “whore” - it’s all about John.
Yes, McCain is a whore, but this country is filled with rubes, many in the media, who will help him create the image of Mr. Integrity. Hey, it worked for that alcoholic imbecile with a criminal record!
