An arctic air mass came through last night and damn, is it cold. I wore a turtleneck sweater to bed over my pajamas and brought a hot water bottle as well, in addition to cranking up the electric blanket.
My friend called me this morning while I was on the train and I said as much. “Do you think that was a good idea?” she said.
“What?” I said.
“Water under an electric blanket.” (She’s an insurance risk manager. She can’t help herself.)
“Oh, for God’s sake. It was fine.”
I didn’t want to get out of bed, though. If only I’d had a nice hot bath waiting for me…. oh wait, in just four short weeks, I will.
Can’t wait to leave the Hellmouth.

It’s rainy and windy here in Pacifica this a.m. We live on a hill, and in weather like this water tends to back up in the crawlspace under the house.
After I get back from the dentist tonight I’ll have to hunker down in the black sheets of rain and drop the pump into the dark waters.
Ok, I been reading you for the past 2 months or so and I don’t recall where you are going Susie. Can you help me with my recall blank.
Thanks, Bb
Philadelphia.
