Good interview with Alan Sandals from the Jewish Voice. Alan is one of three candidates running for the Democratic nomination to go up against Rick Santorum.

Sandals has the right idea.

Democrats need to run on ideas, not the same old scandal routine. That’s why I think he needs to stay away from the Good Neighbor issue. He will begin to appear like the Democratic scandal machine( agree or disagree, it’s what it looks like to the average voter), which is the LAST thing voters want.

Give the public something to vote FOR, ideas that will give us a sense that Washington can change.

Good point made that the average American couldn’t possibly run for office. I’ve believed this for several years, & think that this very issue is at the root of the general distrust of government. Those in power are no longer able to remember, or have never experienced, what it is like to be part of “general” soceity.

I firmly believe in the following statement:

“From the ranks you have emerged, and to the ranks you will soon return.”
