NEW YORK While newspaper editorials remain virtually silent on the subject, the American public seems to have made up its mind. A new Gallup/CNN/USA Today poll out tonight shows that 2 out of 3 adult Americans now want U.S. troops to start to come home from Iraq. And 55% call the decision to attack Iraq in 2003 a “mistake.”
The same poll found President Bush’s approval rating plunging to 38%. It was even lower in a CBS poll earlier this week: 34%.
In the poll, 38% said some troops should be withdrawn from Iraq now with another 27% say they all should come home.

The Center Can Hold
My point is that this
is soon to become the center.
Thank you.
And when you find yourself constantly killing people with that gun you’re holding, drop the damn gun.
I don’t where else to report this.
Last night, Tom Osborne called to ask me to join a live teleconference. I didn’t.
Tonight, a representative called to ask whether he could tell Tom he could count on my vote.
I told him I’ve never been ascribed as a dude of my word. “So, sure, why the fuck not?”
We’re screwed.
When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging:
That implies the Bush WH cares what we think. They don’t. They care about siphoning America’s resources into their own pockets.
They don’t care about committing the equivalent of manslaughter on thousands of American soldiers to do that. They don’t care about trashing our country’s good name to do that. They sure as hell don’t care what any of us thinks.
