So Philly: What are you doing Thursday night?
Conservative icon Grover “Let’s Drown Government in the Bathtub Before I Get Indicted” Norquist will be speaking - and taking questions from the public - at the National Constitution Center. I’m going to be there, and gee, I think you should, too. I think it could be, um, entertaining.
Heh heh.

I can’t be there (I’m out of the country), but I suggest preparing yourself with some of his more recent utterances, in which he distances himself from the Bush administration because, you know, they are liberal spendthrifts. Grover was a big factor in getting us into this mess. Now he must be held to account for his old statements (and not just “drown the government” — he will have a well-honed stock answer for that one, possibly a laugh line, as he has had so much practice with it) as well as the inconsistencies with his new ones, and for the heavy responsibility he bears. Beware of a sort of “that was then, this is now” argument, as the repulsive ex-senator Alan Simpson from Wyoming is wont to dribble.
I’ll bring the bathtub.
Random news find. Via Talk Left, we hear that Fitzgerald may be getting ready to indict Rove, and/or Hadley next Month.
FitzMas in May?
(and can I get html tags to work?)
