Moral Leadership

WASHINGTON, April 23 — About 50 prominent religious leaders, including seven Roman Catholic cardinals and about a half-dozen archbishops, have signed a petition in support of a constitutional amendment blocking same-sex marriage.
They have no problem at all with the child-rape thing, though.
Oddly enough, these leaders are resoundingly silent on the biblical laws against what is the real threat to marriage: divorce. Hmm. Couldn’t be because they know it’s not as politically palatable, is it?

Would this trump state’s rights? Would it even be illegal considering the 14th Amendment?
All I hear is Texans don’t want to be told how to live their lives by the people of Massachusetts. Apparently Texans have no problems telling the people in Liberal states how to live their lives though.
Hipocrisy in all its nakedness.
This is why I can’t be a practicing Catholic. It’s a moral failure on their part to be so un-Christian. To think gay people are somehow not humans, with the same desires and ambitions as heteros, well that is beyond belief. The truly sad bit is that many white people used to think the same of blacks and other minorities. It’s 2006 going on 1850.
