Best. Craigslist. Personal. Ever.

This is great:
Pluck me, Craig, a summer peach
Beyond the average Lister’s reach,
Who eludes the straining digits
Of m4w’s mental midgets;
Who’s had it with the .jpg pics
Of every Tom and Harry’s —–,
And guys with numberable hairs
Posed by ‘Vettes that aren’t theirs;
Who’s fun (and funny too!) and nice,
Yet open to a little vice.
There’s one that’s often on my mind.
I’m hoping she responds in kind.
Find me, Craig, the sort of girl
Who’d love to have a little whirl
With the sort of guy who writes
Doggerel on April nights
But who burns to spend them all
In Eros’ amorous thrall.
So many peaches in your tree…
Surely, Craig, there’s one for me?
Be she white as winter snow
Or black as Edgar Allan’s crow,
As long as she’s of human hue
Have her send a pic or two.
The sweetest fruit may not be taken
Although her tree be often shaken.
I hope this simple little rhyme
Spares lazy me a labored climb
By dropping to my palm a peach
In blossom but eluding reach.
Fruitful will this poem be
If one such fruit should
fall
to
me.
