I read the New York Times prurient tabloid piece on the Clintons this morning and was frankly astounded. The whole tone just reeked of “Don’t worry, ladies and gentlemen, we will be watching every single move they make and we’ll be the first to let you know if the Clenis is up to his old tricks.”
Somehow, this little shell game is supposed to distract us from all the stories the New York Times newspaper didn’t cover. You know, the stolen elections, the faked reasons for war. That stuff. The issues where there was so very much at stake, and the Times let us down.
They have yet, in any serious, sustained way, documented the overwhelming failures of this administration and the consequences thereof. Yet they choose to devote their considerable resources to the Clinton Zipper Watch.
What a joke they are.

This does seem to be way below the lofty status of the Times. Do they think they’ll steal readership from the Post and such if they go with tabloid stuff? Really who cares what goes on in their marriage if it works for them fine. There are no laws, at least that I’m aware of, saying that married couples must spend so many nights together.
Not to mention the story of Mariyah Amin.
I think the two part story the Times did on the administration’s criminal negligence in training the Iraqi police was a terrific piece of journalism, even if it was several years late. But in general I agree that the Times has a lot to atone for.
even more hilarious is the rate at which they’re deletign comments.
mine, frenchy lamour’s, watertiger’s athenae (first draft)…
this is a lot of fun. I’m planning to visit pat healy every day just to post “CLENIS!”
