Don’t Let Me Down

I think this is my all-time favorite Beatles song. Several years ago, on the 30th anniversary of this last live Beatles performance, I was the publicist for a reenactment of the last Beatles set on the roof of a Philadelphia record store, including the Hooters’ Eric Bazilian and Jim Boggia (and yes, the cops showed up):

Now, if they’d only issue the Let it Be movie on DVD. Sigh.
(Don’t Let Me Down is one of the Beatles’ most underrated songs. I don’t know why. I’m also very partial to I Dig a Pony.)
Susie,
You know Jim Boggia!
Fidelity is the enemy.
Of course I know Jim! The best Lennon imitator in the known universe… in addition to his other talents, I mean.
Isn’t “Fidelity” a great album? One of my all-time fave raves.
Okay, then, do you know Chet Bolins? He’s also a Philly guy, I think, certainly one of my best bargain-bin finds of all time.
emusic turned me on to Jim Boggia.
hey, it’s my favorite beatles song too!
Don’t know Chet but I suppose I’ll have to check him out.
Nora, you and I have eerily similar musical tastes.
you have literally changed my tomorrow
