This is fascinating, isn’t it? BushCo counted some very large companies as small ones in order to claim they met their small-business spending quotas:
Some of the nation’s largest news media companies, including The Associated Press, were counted last year by the government as small businesses for contracting purposes,
inflating the Bush administration’s record of help to small companies.Other media companies to be treated that way included The New York Times Co., USA Today
International Corp., Bloomberg L.P., and even the Public Broadcasting Service, according
to data the administration gave congressional investigators. The media giants join other corporate icons like Wal-Mart and Home Depot that congressional
investigators identified last week as companies listed as small businesses by the White House.
The companies say the government erroneously gave them that designation and they did not
portray themselves as small businesses to win the contracts.

aaaarrrrrrgghh!!! i can’t take much more of this . . . .
Bush said Jesus was his “favorite philosopher;” here’s what JC had to say:
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- John 8:44
If that doesn’t capture GWB’s character, I don’t know what could.
Every week, they redefine shamelessness.
