Thanks to everyone who donated; I really appreciate it.
As I pointed out last week, I’m now getting half of the pittance I earned. While certain costs have gone down (train tickets, parking, lunch), the fact remains that I’m close to the edge.
Whenever I’ve been in real trouble, my readers have come through, and I’m so grateful for your help. But it’s, well, embarrassing to have to slit my wrists and bleed on the keyboard. I’d so much rather have 20 or so of my regular readers click that Paypal button and become a monthly blog patron.
You do it for public radio and TV, right? I’m asking that you do it for me.
You can still give a one-time donation. Bu there’s also a second Paypal button over at the right, one that says “Subscribe.” It’s for a recurring donation - $10 a month. (You can probably only get it to work in a Firefox browser, however.) Some of you have suggested this option before, and now here it is. (Oh, and you can cancel it anytime you want. So you’re not trapped indefinitely.)
