In my case, the advent of rain in the Pacific Northwest is a reminder that fall, and especially winter, is not that far away and which gives rise to the myth that it “rains all the time” in the Pacific Northwest. That myth is dispelled in the summer when peoples’ lawns turn brown out here because it rains so little during July and August.
