$450M Slush Fund

A settlement with the Canadian government, under the direct control of the White House, with no Congressional oversight, just in time for the mid-terms.
Up to no good? The Mighty Corrente organization reports, you decide.

As I slogged through the text of the agreement, I came to agree with Think Progress et al — it’s a slush fund.
The story is almost too huge to be believable, like the $8.6 billion gone missing in Iraq, for example.
Thanks for the link!
This regime redefines the meaning of corruption,
expanding it to a scale previously unimagined.
I read through as much as I could get to open, including the stuff on Kos. I was astonished at how many people were saying, “But they couldn’t get away with no oversight”, and that “Of course, Congress will control this money”. Some people just don’t learn, do they?
The list of U.S. companies that will benefit from this is impressive, too. Another diversion is that these companies will benefit, and then contribute to the Republican party.
Deep, deep shit.
This story is amazing. Well not that amazing, if one appreciates the level of corruption at play w\in the Party of Lincoln.
