With all the money Gillick saved on dead wood like Bell and Abreu, I’m sure Victorino will get a hefty raise and a safe, secure spot in either left or right field in 2007!

Once again the Phillies have started poorly, went on to have the best record in the majors for the months of August and September only to barely miss the playoffs. It’s deja vu all over again!!!

And Victorino, I’ll point out, is not only former Dodgers property, but is Maui-born! (I’ve seen more Phillies highlights on local sportscasts this year than in the previous fifteen because of his local ties.)
