Federal officials refused to tell Minnesota authorities which of two beef plants were linked to a fatal E. coli outbreak last summer, according to a state report.
One woman died and at least 17 people were sickened from the E. coli outbreak in the Longville area, after eating ground beef.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health report, state officials narrowed the source of the E. coli to two processing plants - which they identified only as “Plant A” and “Plant B.” [...]
“I suppose it’s par for the course for USDA, but I’m shocked that the USDA refused to disclose the name of the plant that had the positive sample, which clearly is the source of the E. coli that poisoned people,” Marler said. “The USDA is more concerned with protecting industry than protecting the public health.”

That’s becasue this regime is pro-life.
What are you worried about? Beef doesn’t come from plants silly! It comes from COWS. Not to worry.
Did you know that they won’t let me give blood in the states anymore because I’ve lived in the UK for longer than six months (because of CJD)?
Did you know that if I want to give blood in the UK but I’ve been in the states during the summer I have to wait 28 days after my return (because of West Nile virus)?
And the recent US reaction to untested GM rice contaminating the food chain? Approve without testing!
