St. Louis Cardinals. Congratulations!

Once, before I die, I want to see the Phillies win again. Here’s hoping…

It’s amazing that–beyond the city limits of Detroit and St. Louis–this series was a gigantic non-event. I watched some of most of the games but just couldn’t engage.

Watching the last two games in St. Louis, I spent more time looking (in vain) for a single african-american face in the stands than on the “action.”

Susie - my family have been Phillies fans since they were founded in 1883. My father managed to live long enough to see them win in 1980. I’d love to see them win again as well but I am not going to get my hopes up!

Historically, the Cardinals are the Yankees
of the National League.
I refuse to congratulate them.

(Besides, didn’t a lot of Cardinals cover up
sexual abuse in their organization?)

The Cards’ post-season run earned me a little extra pocket change. (I board-op their games for the local radio station)
Even though they’re not my favorite team, (take a stab at who is)I’m glad they won.
