Compare and Contrast

I was watching “Fried Green Tomatoes” this morning and saw the scene where Idgie and Ruth are throwing canned food off the side of a freight train to poor people running alongside the train. I loved their joyous expressions as they threw the cans, knowing how much it meant to these people - and I loved the looks on the faces of the people who caught them.
And then I compared it to this.

Assholes.
What’s especially saddening is how lighthearted
that guy sounded.
He’s pushing the kids toward dehydration by holding
out the promise of water, and truly enjoying it.
I bet he gets out of Iraq unscathed, while tons
of decent solders get kiled or maimed.

Hope these guys get reamed good, if not tossed from the service. This is dishonorable conduct at the very least.
The DoD will find that since the kid’s head wasn’t held
under water, it’s all good.
Evil Bastards, thats what the people of Iraq most think we are.
