I’m so surprised:
“NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Oil prices rose Wednesday after the government said supplies of distillates and gasoline showed a surprise decline and cold weather looked set to bear down on the U.S. Northeast, the world’s largest home heating oil market. . . . .
In its weekly inventory report, the Energy Information Administration said distillate supplies, used to make heating oil and diesel fuel, fell by 1 million barrels. Analysts were looking for a gain of 400,000 barrels.
Gasoline supplies also posted a surprise decline. EIA said gasoline stockpiles fell by 600,000 barrels, compared to the 500,000 increase called for by analysts. Crude stocks fell by 300,000 barrels, slightly more than the 100,000 drop predicted.”

The coal industry expects the northern U.S. to have a very mild winter, which is going to reduce demand for their product, and their expected cost.
a surprise decline? did someone miscount? and with temps hovering in the sixties no one’s using that much heating oil these days, so you’d think they would have lots extra. but i guess they need an excuse to jack up the prices for the revenue lost these past couple warm months. because once you post those record profits, anything less is a loss.
See what happens when elect Democrats? They immediately screw up the workings of the free market with all their regulations!
See what happens when we elect Democrats?
Susie, we need preview for our posts.
A surprise decline? That election was scheduled way in advance.
I filled up my tank yesterday for the first time since the election. There was a substantial difference in price.
No 60’s temperatures here in San Jose, where it’s usually warm. Right now we’re colder than Buffalo, Chicago, and Green Bay.
Peter VE, how did you make those italics?
I can never get wordpress to recognize simple HTML tags.
You have to use < and > to close tags.
Izquierdo: I follow the instructions at HTML Goodies. I fouled up that last post, though: I only wanted the first sentence to be Italics. That looks like (Keeping fingers crossed that I cancel it out right…) Italics, with the “*” omitted.
That didn’t work… Wordpress recognized the “”(greater than) symbols and hid them. Written out:
(less than)i(greater than) Italics(less than)/i(greater than)
Oh, never mind…
Thanks, S & P!
