One of my readers says every time he comes to my site, his computer starts trying to load Adobe Acrobat - and it only happens here. My tech guy says it’s not us, he has no idea why it’s happening. Any thoughts?

It happens to me too when I use the old Win98 computer with Explorer. I thought it must be some link on the page that makes the browser want to think it has to download a pdf, but it never finished loading anything.
user has misconfigured acrobat as the handler for some object on your website.
You have gif, jpeg, flash etc on the page and there is probably a mistake in users registry that makes them think that acrobat should be the flash player.
hmmm - I always get a request to update RealPlayer lately. Not Acrobat, but then I keep that up to date.
My computer keeps wanting to run “QuicktimeCheck Scriptable Object” from Apple Computer when I come to your site
Is this happening in IE, Firefox or both?
Only happens to me at home on my old Win98 PC.
Happens to me in IE,on my one year old computer running XP pro
