to find that torture is going on.
Documents released Tuesday by the FBI offered new details about the harsh interrogation practices used by military officials and contractors when questioning so-called enemy combatants.
The reports describe a female guard who detainees said handled their genitals and wiped menstrual blood on their face. Another interrogator reportedly bragged to an FBI agent about dressing as a Catholic priest and “baptizing†a prisoner.
Some military officials and contractors told FBI agents that the interrogation techniques had been approved by the Defense Department, including directly by former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.
Frankly, it doesn’t bother me much from a human rights p.o.v that they turned the intrinsic misogyny of Talibaptists against them. Relative to sleep deprivation, physical violence, threats of physical violence, threats to loved ones, making them listen to Kenny G music, making them east US military creamed chipped beef on toast, making them listen to Democrats’ justification for voting for more $$ for the Second Bush War on The Iraqis, ANYTHING that features video, audio or thoughts of George Bush Junior’s continued occupation of the Oval Office, blah yadda blah, it’s barely worth adding to the existing charges that include mass murder.
The prisoners, at least the hetero males (and all the females) have already had menstrual blood on them. BFD…if they find it offensive, frack ‘em.
