Injury, meet insult

The Army said Friday it would apologize to the families of about 275 officers killed or wounded in action who were mistakenly sent letters urging them to return to active duty.
The letters were sent a few days after Christmas to more than 5,100 Army officers who had recently left the service. Included were letters to about 75 officers killed in action and about 200 wounded in action.

I just wanted to say that this story sent my husband soaring with anger. He was 10 years in the Navy; usually off playing Secret Squirrel in the middle of god know where - and he takes all of this VERY seriously (as do we all - but it hits home with him in a very personal way). I think he’d like to strangle the idiots who did something so bumblingly heartless. So would I, come to think of it.
You don’t go to war with the letter writers
you’d like, you go to war with the letter
writers you have.
How unfortunate. Instead of worrying about purging voter rolls, they spent their resources doing a little q/a on the final list.
I hate these people. Two more years, God help us.
