Drinking Liberally at Tangier, 18th & Lombard from 6 until 9. Free cream cheese and cow tongue on date nut bread sandwiches for early arrivals. Mandatory high priced vats of lark’s tongue in aspic for the stragglers. The god forsaken Philadelphia smoking ban is now in its third week, so don’t expect to enjoy yourselves too much. What’s a drink without a smoke? Perhaps the only benefit of this particular sissification of Philadelphia is that Susie can now return to Drinking Liberally. Maybe you’ll even be able tell her in person just how disappointed you are that her guest posters don’t blog more frequently and that they are annoyingly self referential. If not, perhaps Snuzy Mandrake would be willing to step in and listen to your tale of woe and horror.

Also, there should be a rousing debate over the possibility of a new pictorial feature, “Parking Meters of Harrisburg”. In technicolor. Let me know which way people lean on this…
somehow this post looks familiar
but nothing would please me more than some newbie showing up asking to meet snuzy mandrake.
Hold your horses Snuzy! This post may consist 66% post consumer material, but the rest is brand spanking new, damnit. That shit about the lark’s tongues is all new, as is the bit about self-referential guest posters. Hell, people weren’t even complaining about that crap until yesterday.
